We try to grade the tours to give you an idea of how they compare, whilst these give a good indication of what a tour is like, every tour is an individual so feel free to give us an email about what you like, don't like and what your after and we are more than happy to assist.
Guided Road tours always have a support vehicle/sag wagon if enough is enough, off road or mountain bike tours can not be supported all the time so picking your grading carefully becomes more of an issue here.
1 - Easy
Easy tours are just that, easy peasy. You don't have to be Lance Armstrong but it helps if you migrated off training wheels at some stage of your childhood. Generally lower distances per day with not many hills these tours are suitable for people who are not as fit or just want to relax and enjoy the feeling of slowly pedaling along with no rush to get anywhere.
2 - Moderate
Moderate tours are the next step up from easy tours and we start doing some longer rides with a few more undulating hills. You don't need to be really fit just and probably ride once a week at home. On the guided road rides there is always a support vehicle/sag wagon so you can climb on board when you spy that big hill on the horizon or you just want to take a break and relax while other do the work.
3 - Challenging
You would be wanting to ride 2 - 3 times a week in preparation for these tours, the opportunity to ride 100km/60m plus days means you will need to be a more experienced cyclist if you don't want to be Tail End Charlie. As always on the guided road tours there is a support vehicle/sag wagon so if you want an extra rest day or you are having an off day there is always the option of making sure the driver isn't falling asleep by getting a free commentary.
4 - Difficult
We reserve our top Grade for those long hard gut busters and if off road technical riding on difficult trails. If you love the thought of that then sign up now!
